A company that manufactures custom aircraft interiors is planning to build a new plant in the Savannah area.
WTOC-TV reported Wednesday (http://bit.ly/1hNKHTY ) that Savannah Aviation Parts and Services is expecting to create about 200 new jobs in the next five years, and plans to begin working on the new facility in 2014.
The Savannah Economic Development Authority announced the plan Wednesday. Officials say the company will make an investment of between $15 million and $17 million in its expansion in Pooler — about 10 miles west of Savannah.
Company officials say they plan to work with local colleges and technical schools to recruit new employees.
