Raid at Ga flea market results in arrests

ATHENS (AP) — Authorities investigating faked and pirated merchandise made multiple arrests at a Georgia flea market.

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies and state troopers raided the J&J Flea Market in Jackson County on Saturday.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports that officers questioned workers about reports of pirated CDs and DVDs and fake designer shoes, purses and other items.

Chief Deputy Daniel Thomas says an investigation is continuing, and details on the raid will be available on Monday.

Thomas says officers expect to make additional arrests.
