GPB Radio’s Summer Listening Series puts the public back in public radio

Summer is officially here, and GPB Radio is providing the perfect way to get through the long, hot days with the “Summer Listening Series.” Beginning Monday, July 1, GPB is putting the “public” back in public radio by letting listeners vote on which new show they want to be added to the program schedule for the Monday-Thursday 2 p.m. time slot.

“Each day, our listeners hear fascinating programs and ideas from shows like ‘Morning Edition,’ ‘All Things Considered,’ ‘Fresh Air’ and 'Performance Today,’ on our air, and now we want to hear from them,” said GPB Radio Vice President Tanya Ott.

GPB’s “Summer Listening Series” will feature a different show each week in the Monday-Thursday 2 p.m. timeslot beginning the week of Monday, July 1 and airing through the week of Monday, August 26.
