Finch

Mamie Joanna Church, daughter of John and Therese Church of Dalton, and Craig Richard Finch, son of John and Lisa Finch and the late Mary Kay Finch of Guttenberg, Iowa, were married May 30, 2009, at the Dalton First United Methodist Church. The bride’s father gave her away.

The Reverend Joe Peabody officiated. Adam Thein of Garnavillo, Iowa, and Ashley Finch of Dubuque, Iowa, provided music.

The bride’s dress was an ivory taffeta gown with a corseted bodice that extended into a gathered shirt, showing a pleated layer around the bottom. Her bouquet was a gorgeous colorful mix of pincushion proteas, roses, mums, hypericum berries, celosia, hydrangeas and freesia.

The maid of honor was the bride’s older sister, Nora Church of Atlanta.

The bridesmaids were Alana Church of Blacksburg, Va., the bride’s younger sister; Constance Morris of Dalton; Ashley Brandon of Ooltewah, Tenn.; Catriona Harris of Greenville, S.C.; and Jessica Domino of Clemson, S.C.

The bridesmaids each wore different styles of eggplant-colored, tea-length chiffon dresses.

The flower girl was Joanna Rann of Dalton.

The best man was the groom’s younger brother, Alex Finch of Dubuque, Iowa.

The groomsmen were Fred Smith of Minneapolis, Minn.; Austin Finch of Guttenberg, Iowa, the groom’s youngest brother; Joseph Wright of Kansas City, Kan.; Ben Collen of Des Moines, Iowa; and Bart Domino of Charlotte, N.C.

The reception was held at the Dalton Golf and Country Club and the rehearsal dinner was held May 29 at The Filling Station in Dalton.
