Sparks, Duckett

Sparks,

Duckett

Melissa Sparks, daughter of Steve and Susan Sparks of Calhoun, and Colby Duckett, son of Daymon and Debbie Duckett of Dalton, were married on July 11, 2009, at Grove Level Baptist church. The Bride’s uncle, Donnie Hudgens, performed the ceremony.

The ceremony began with music played by Andy McLeod, Janice Hobby and Joy Dodd. The floral arrangements, which decorated the church, were made by Ruth & Doyles and contained roses, orchids and mini calalillies. The Bride, who walked down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Cannon, wore a one-piece, full A-line, corset back gown created from French Taffeta.

The Maid of Honor was the Bride’s sister, Abby Sparks of Calhoun. The other bridesmaids were Hannah Hudgens, Natalia Fleet, Jordan Carroll, Katherine Murray, Roshni Patel and Rosa Juan. They wore tea-length, chocolate brown, taffeta dresses with silver shoes and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.

The flower girls were Arminda Juan and Iris Anne Putnam of Dalton. They wore white dresses with pink sashes and carried pink carnation kissing balls.

The Best Man was the groom’s father, Daymon Duckett, and the groomsmen were Austin Duckett, Drew Sparks, Skylar Dean, and Aaron and John Frederick.

The Reception was held at The Farm Golf & Country Club in Rocky Face, Ga. Guests were given homemade apple butter and old fashioned stick candy to take home after the wonderful meal and dancing in the ballroom.

The couple left the reception in a stretch hummer from Dalton Limousine and headed to their honeymoon destination, Jade Mountain in St. Lucia.

The Couple plans to reside in Dalton.
