Sweetin, Burgener



Lindsay Anne Sweetin of Washington, D.C., and L Joshua Logan Burgener of Nashville, Tenn., were united in marriage Jan. 3, 2009, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Dalton. The 5 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. C. Dean Taylor and the Rev. Paul H. Norris, III.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Martha Kling Minor of Dalton and Mr. Gary David Sweetin of Bradenton, Fla. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Burgener of New York, N.Y.

The program of nuptial music was provided by Dr. Matthew Krepps, organ, Beth Blackburn, harp, and George Barnett, trumpet.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore an ivory Anne Barge gown of satin organza with all-over lace appliqué. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline, small tip-of-the-shoulder cap sleeves and chapel-length train. The bride wore a full-length veil trimmed in vintage lace also worn by her mother. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory roses and orchids.

Miss Katherine Elaine Sweetin of Lexington, Ky., sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Mrs. Kelly Comiskey Chaffin of Flower Mound, Texas, Miss Elizabeth Ann Jackson of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Jordan Kime Perry of New York, N.Y., Miss Anna Katherine Drake of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Alexis Wells Casey of Washington, D.C.

Mr. Evan Brownstein of New York, N.Y., performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Colin Joseph Reginald Moncrieff of New York, N.Y., Mr. Robert Davis Williams of Boston, Mass., Mr. Austen Michael Heim of Austin, Texas, Mr. Avi Millman of New York, N.Y., and Mr. Jared McKenzie Lister of New York, N.Y.

Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held in honor of the couple at the Walden Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. The rehearsal dinner was held Jan. 2 at the Chattanoogan Hotel. It was hosted by the parents of the groom.

Following a wedding trip to Anguilla, British West Indies, the couple will reside in Nashville, Tenn.
