Brenda Rae Favorite and Michael Vreeland Spanjer, both of Williamsburg, Ky., were married on June 6 in Williamsburg. Rev. Mike Albertson and Dr. Bob Dunston officiated.
The bride’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Terry and Cindy Favorite of Pleasant Hill, Ohio. The groom’s parents are Dr. and Mrs. Richard and Patricia Spanjer of Dalton.
The bride’s father, Terry Favorite, gave her away.
The bride wore a strapless satin A-line dress with beaded lace appliqué detail and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and blue hydrangea tied with blue ribbon.
Lisa Bowman of Pleasant Hill, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Tracy Roberts of Nashville, Tenn., and Diane Lesley of Pleasant Hill, sisters of the bride; Genevieve Wright of Washington, D.C., sister of the groom; and Dulcinea Lesley of Pleasant Hill, niece of the bride.
The bridesmaids wore Horizon Blue dresses in two different styles. Two bridesmaids wore strapless a-line jersey material dresses with pleating and ruched charmeuse bust. The other two wore strapless chiffon short dresses with ruched bust and asymmetrical hem. The maid of honor wore a dress of the same color made in the style of German Baptists.
Michelle Favorite, of Havelock, N.C., niece of the bride, served as the flower girl. Nicolas Lesley, of Pleasant Hill, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
Tim Spanjer, brother of the groom, of Smyrna, Ga., served as the best man. Groomsmen were Alex Spanjer and Andrew Spanjer, both of Dalton, brothers of the groom; Kerry Bush of Williamsburg, friend of the groom; and Joey Neff of Pleasant Hill, nephew of the bride.
The ushers were Sgt. Kevin Favorite, USMC of Havelock, N.C., brother of the bride; and Jarrad Wright, brother-in-law of the groom.
The reception took place after the ceremony at the Christian Life Center of First Baptist Church. It was catered by Oral Lewis.
Cody and Cory Rowe, cousins of the bride, passed out programs, and their mother, Whitney Kay Rowe, attended the guest book.
Flowers were prepared by Merry’s Flowers. Sweet Creations designed the cakes.
The rehersal dinner was held at Williamsburg First United Methodist Church in Williamsburg on June 5, hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Richard and Patricia Spanjer, parents of the groom.
The couple took their wedding trip to Costa Rica. They live in Willimsburg.
