Diamond, ring topics on ‘After Deadline’ podcast

This week on “After Deadline,” sports writers Devin Golden and Chris Whitfield discuss The Daily Citizen’s 2013-2014 All-Area Girls Basketball Team — including its Player of the Year, Northwest Whitfield High School’s Halle Ford — and some of the best players who didn’t crack the lineup of honorees.

Other topics are last week’s start to the Sub-region 7B-4A baseball schedule, which included Dalton sweeping its three-game series against Southeast Whitfield, and the mystery of Burger King’s lone onion ring in an order of fries.

The weekly podcast, which is recorded at the WTTI-1530 AM studio in Rocky Face, is free for download and posted at noon each Wednesday at daltonnow.com.
