After Deadline episode 25 (free)

“After Deadline,” The Daily Citizen’s weekly sports podcast with sports writers Devin Golden and Chris Whitfield, returns this week to discuss Dalton High School’s state championship Saturday in boys soccer.

This week’s episode offers congratulations to the Catamounts, who have won a second straight title and haven’t lost in their last 45 matches. The duo also compares the back-to-back state championships of Dalton’s boys soccer team and Northwest Whitfield’s girls softball team, which captured its second straight title last fall. And last, the pair discuss possibilities for The Daily Citizen’s All-Area Baseball Player of the Year award, which along with the all-area team will be revealed in the Sunday edition of The Daily Citizen.

Also, the duo will offer another culinary take in their “Food for Fought” segment.

The weekly podcast, which is recorded at the WTTI-1530 AM studio in Rocky Face, is free for download and posted each Wednesday at daltonnow.com.
