Soccer games first on all-star prep schedule

The annual Stump on Sports All-Star Classic summer series, which pits recent senior student-athletes from northwest Georgia high schools against their counterparts from southeast Tennessee, begins Friday with girls and boys soccer matches.

All of this year’s competitions will be held in Chattanooga. For Friday’s soccer at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga’s Finley Stadium, the girls match begins at 1:30 p.m., with the boys match at 3:30.

The football game is at 7 p.m. Saturday at Boyd-Buchanan School. The girls and boys basketball games are at 6 and 7:30 p.m. on June 10 at Notre Dame High School.

The final day of action is June 18, with 6 p.m. starts for both baseball at McCallie School and softball at Frost Stadium.
