"After Deadline" sports podcast - Episode 20 (free)

This week on “After Deadline,” sports writers Devin Golden and Chris Whitfield of The Daily Citizen discuss this past weekend’s Wrestlemania 30 event in New Orleans, where Golden spent the past few days.

They also talk about the Ultimate Warrior, a former WWE star who died Tuesday night. His death came just three days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and one day after appearing on Monday Night Raw, where he didn’t wrestle but spoke to fans.

Other topics are the upcoming Region 7-4A soccer playoffs — including whether Northwest Whitfield’s boys have another postseason run in store despite a disappointing regular season — and Sub-region 7B-4A baseball. Dalton and Northwest Whitfield are facing off for first place in the standings in their three-game series, while Southeast Whitfield is trying to keep its postseason hopes alive as it takes on Heritage-Catoosa.
