Hickman takes first at North Georgia Speedway

Riley Hickman finished first in Steel Head/Limited Late Model competition this past Friday at Murray County’s North Georgia Speedway, beating Tod Hernandez and Ethan Hunter to the checkered flag.

In other divisions, Colby Kilgore was first in Crate Late Model, while Andy Picklesimer was second and Jason Welshan was third; Junior Whitener was first in Sportsman, while Jamie Lunsford was second and Duane Dotson was third; Devin Stuart was first in A-Hobby, while Derek Chapman was second and Billy Callahan was third; Jimmy Smith was first in B-Hobby, while Jacob Stewart was second and Michael Sharpnack was third; James Dykes was first in Pony, while Mitchell Pope was second and Cody Campbell was third.

Action continues Saturday at North Georgia Speedway with a $1,200-to-win Crate Late Model special race and regular competition in all other divisions. The pits open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 and hot laps begin at 7.

Grandstand admission is $12 for ages 12 and older and $6 for ages 6-11. Pit admission is $25. Ages 5 and younger are admitted free. To learn more, visit northgaspeedway.net.
