DHS JV soccer wins vs. Coahulla Creek

WHITE — Dalton’s junior varsity soccer team scored three goals early and the defense held Coahulla Creek scoreless in a 3-0 Catamounts victory Monday night in Varnell in the season opener for both teams.

Colts goalie Christian Gonzalez was peppered with shots throughout the game, notching 17 saves. But Antonio Martinez, Cristian Saldana and Hernan Saldana all scored in the first half for Dalton. Assists came from Jose Boyzo and Jesus Huitanda. Leurie Fraire got the shutout in goal for the Catamounts.
