Weather diminishes high school sports schedule

All but one varsity high school sports game has been called off today for local teams due to inclement weather.

Southeast Whitfield’s baseball team still plans a trip to play Gordon Central at 5 p.m., Raiders coach Brad Lofton said. Christian Heritage’s home baseball game against Northwest Whitfield and Dalton’s trip to North Murray both were called off. The tennis match between Christian Heritage and Murray County also was called off, as was North Murray’s trip to Ringgold.

North Murray and Ringgold have rescheduled their match for March 27 as part of a doubleheader at the Murray County Recreational Department’s tennis courts.
