DSC volleyball loses a pair in Tennessee

Dalton State College’s womens volleyball team dropped a pair of matches Saturday at Tennessee’s Milligan College.

The Roadrunners fell 25-23, 25-20, 25-15 to Bryan College in the day’s first match, and then lost 25-15, 25-14, 25-27, 25-10 to host Milligan College.

Alyne Bianchi led Dalton State (2-8) with five kills in the match versus Bryan, while Savannah Nelson and Karly Newman each added five kills. Michaela Askew finished with 13 assists.

Dalton State will play three matches this week, two at home. The Roadrunners start on the road Monday at 7 p.m. versus Marin Methodist College. They return Tuesday for a home match against Brenau University at 7 p.m. in the Mack Gaston Community Center and play there again Saturday at 11 a.m. versus Virginia Intermont College.
