DSC women’s tennis adds player for spring

Dalton State College’s women’s tennis team signed Lindsay McCutchen for the spring season, according to a press release from the school.

Previously a member of the the tennis programs at Reinhardt University in Waleska and Point University in West Point, the Cumming native is transferring to Dalton State and can begin playing immediately, the press release states.

“Lindsey is a great addition to the team,” Dalton State coach Zach Rogers said in the release. “Anytime you can bring in a player with previous college playing experience it is a blessing.”

Dalton State’s women’s team has a 1-0 record after a brief fall schedule, according to the Dalton State athletics website, and resumes competition Feb. 5. The roster listen on the website only includes four players — Maria Alejandra Bejarano, Diana Narino, Chelsea Powell and Laura Winter. The men’s team, by comparison, has 11 players on its roster.
