"After Deadline" talks Morris Innovative soccer, prep baseball

Morris Innovative High School’s boys soccer team is ranked for the first time in the program’s short history, and the Tigers’ breakthrough is among the topics discussed by The Daily Citizen sports writers Devin Golden and Chris Whitfield this week on their “After Deadline” podcast.

The Tigers, who are ranked eighth in the eurosportscoreboard.com Class 2A poll, earned a 1-0 victory last week against Murray County, which is ranked No. 4 this week.

Additionally, Golden and Whitfield talk about why they enjoy the series format in Region 7-4A baseball and who will win the majority of games in the three-game series that started Tuesday between Dalton and Southeast Whitfield.
