Jamie Jones: Booker T will write about time in the ring

Here are the notes and news items from the week in pro wrestling: WWE has released the original Sin Cara (Luis Ignacio Urive Alvirde). The current Sin Cara is being portrayed by Hunico.

• Booker T said his next book will focus mostly on wrestling.

• Many of the South’s most well-known wrestlers of the past will be in Dalton on May 3 for “Wrestling Reunion 2014.” The event, which will be held at the trade center, features a day of meet-and-greets (from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and wrestling action in the evening (beginning at 7:30). Scheduled to appear are Bob Armstrong, Buff Bagwell, Bobby Fulton, Ronnie Garvin, Mike Jackson, Jim Heidenreich, Lodi, Moondog Rex, Tommy Rich and The Rock ’n’ Roll Express.

The Local Corner: Renegade Championship Wrestling is at 8 p.m. Saturdays at 806 Second Ave. in Chatsworth.

Southern Style Pro Wrestling is at 8 p.m. Saturdays at 4484 Highway 411 N., next to Eton Flea Market near the Ferris wheel. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and older and free for children 12 and younger.
