Two Roadrunners in field for Ga. Four-Ball

Five local players will be in action starting today at Cartersville Country Club for the 43rd annual Georgia Four-Ball Championship, a Georgia State Golf Association tournament.

Dalton State College teammates Chase Jones and Tyler Mitchell — who are both from Chatsworth — will be joined in competition by the Rocky Face team of Greg Brock and Matt Oxford, while Dalton’s David Noll Jr. will pair up with Atlanta’s Cameron Hooper in the two-man team event.

The field of 67 teams will play 18 holes today and 18 holes on Saturday, with a cut to the low 40 teams and ties after 36 holes. Jack Hall of Sea Island and Danny Nelson of Savannah won last year’s tournament at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans.

Complete scoring can be found daily at gsga.org.
