Dalton Middle softball rallies for a 2-0 start

Dalton Middle School’s softball team rallied to beat visiting Lake Forest of Cleveland, Tenn., 8-7 on Thursday and start its season 2-0.

Victoria Duncan led the offensive output, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs, while Elly Souther also went 3-for-3, drove in a run and turned in an 11-strikeout performance as the winning pitcher.

McCall Merrit and Sydney Ault each drove in a run to help the Lady Cougars at the plate.
